Mission

The mission of the ECU Africa Faculty Interest Group (A-FIG) is to:

  • Provide professional and personal networking opportunities and support for those with research, community engagement or academic interests in Africa.
  • Provide a forum to disseminate and receive feedback on research, community engagement and scholarly activity related to Africa.
  • Serve as a forum to discuss current events, activities and opportunities related to Africa.
  • Demonstrate institutional interest and commitment to research, community engagement and scholarly activity related to Africa.
  • Serve as a storehouse of knowledge regarding institutional and professional relations in Africa.
