ECU has two partnerships with Guangdong Ocean University.


Semester of Intensive Academic English + Biology Research

This program is designed for graduate students enrolled at Guangdong Ocean University to spend one semester at East Carolina University studying intensive academic English at ECU Language Academy (ECULA) and participating in research with Biology faculty. GOU students are expected to begin their research thesis during their time at ECU and often work collaboratively with ECU graduate students and ECULA faculty to improve their intercultural communication and research skills. 3+1+1 Accelerated Biology Master's Degree Program

This program is designed for students who are interested in earning an accelerated Master’s degree in Biology from a US university. Students will spend three (3) years studying at Guangdong Ocean University and two (2) years studying at East Carolina University. The first year at ECU is combined undergraduate and graduate coursework and the second year is exclusively graduate coursework. Students who successfully complete this program will earn a bachelor’s degree from Guangdong Ocean University and a master’s degree from East Carolina University.

3+1+1 Accelerated Biology Master’s Degree Program

An official course-by-course evaluation of university-level courses taken outside the U.S. (if applicable). We accept evaluations from agencies that are members of NACES. Please also send copies of the documents submitted to the evaluation agency.

 

Dates & Deadlines
  • We admit international undergraduate students for fall/autumn (August) and spring (January) entry terms.
  • We do not have a strict application deadline.
  • We encourage 100 days before the start of an entry term to allow adequate time for review, processing and enrollment steps if offered admission.

 

Visa Information

Students must have been offered admission to the university before being issued a Form I-20. The International Admissions Office will provide all relevant steps and guidance on applying for a student visa after an offer of admission has been given.
