Tyler – France

Bonjour et bienvenue mes amis!

As I am writing this I leave for France in 48 hours. I’m incredibly excited but also stressed. I’m lucky to have traveled abroad in the past, but it never gets easier. I packed up all of my things in Greenville to drive home earlier this week and that wasn’t too stressful, but the worst part was finishing my summer courses on top of getting ready to travel abroad. Thankfully, I finished my three classes with ease and was able to come home and spend a few days with my parents before leaving.

My parents absolutely love to travel, so, when it came to getting the typical travel items ready, I wasn’t stressed. Well, I got home and sat down to go through our travel materials box with my mom only for us to realize that we no longer had the attachments for our outlet adapters. For those that may not know, every country has a different outlet type–truly an annoyance–and you can purchase outlet adapters to plug in to the wall and then plug in your charger to that. Well, at my house, we had the part that could plug into a European outlet, but the part that connects to it so I can plug in my US things was missing.

I ran around trying to find the right adapter only for my mom to tell me she went ahead and purchased some on Amazon the other night. So, I spent time running around for no reason at all. But at the end of the day, I’m pretty much fully ready and cannot wait to get on the plane! Middle seat, here I come!
