Davina

Hi! My name is Davina, and I am in my last semester of Nursing school and also have a minor in Business. I am from Cary, NC and have live there for basically my whole life. I went to Seoul, South Korea in the Summer of 2024 for my study abroad. I love traveling and hope to visit every continent and every US state at least once!

Where did you study abroad?

South Korea

What is Your Favorite Memory from Your Time Abroad?

My favorite memory of in South Korea was going to Spa Land. It was so relaxing, cheap, and soothing. We had four hours and around 15-20 different rooms to go to 3/4 of them being different types of saunas plus a hot springs area. We also were given a free rice drink and got to enjoy a really tasty meal there too! It was across the country from where I was staying though, but was 100% worth the travel.

How Has Studying Abroad Helped Your Personal and Professional Life?

Studying abroad has helped me find creative ways to solve issues I may face, along with learn how to be more independent. I also really enjoyed being on my own, as I felt it helped my grow more as an individual.

What Advice Can You Offer to Students Interested in Studying Abroad?

I would say if you are interested in studying abroad, go ahead and start planning! I think it was one of the best parts of my college experience and I don’t regret it one bit. There are so many resources to help throughout the process and even during the program, along with lots of different financial help opportunities and scholarships

Do You Have Any Plans or Ideas to Travel Abroad Again?

I do plan on travelling abroad again! I am planning on going to India in early 2025. I also plan on going South Korea again along with 1 or two other nearby Asian countries in the winter of 2025/2026. Unfortunately, none of these will be a study abroad travel, but instead they will be individual travel with friends and family.
