Summers 18 & 19: ECU Faculty-led programs in La Rochelle and Strasbourg

My name is Kae Hall. I am a Senior at ECU. My majors are Psychology and Global Studies (w/ a concentration in French and Spanish). A few things I am a part of on campus include being a Pirate Navigator, a First Friend, a French tutor, and the Foreign Language Lead at the Pirate Academic Success Center. In my free time, I love to draw, write music, and model.

Where did you study abroad?
I studied abroad in La Rochelle, France (Summer 2018) and Strasbourg, France (Summer 2019).

What is your favorite memory from your time abroad?
My favorite memory from studying abroad was the moment when I finally got a hang of the transportation system and felt confident exploring the city without having to worry about getting lost.

How has studying abroad helped your personal or professional life?
Studying abroad has definitely changed how I present myself to my peers and superiors. I think it is very important to be able to let your personality shine through without being over the top.

What advice can you offer to students interested in studying abroad?
My biggest advice to anyone who is considering studying abroad is JUST DO IT!!

Do you have any future plans or ideas to travel abroad again?
Upon my graduation from ECU, I plan to teach English abroad for a year and then go to school abroad for my Master’s degree. After that I will probably be living in and out of the country for a few years but my end goal is living in Amsterdam!
