We are located approximately 1.5 hours from the state capital, Raleigh, and 1.5 hours from the Atlantic beaches.
Biochemistry provides the foundation for nearly all advances in all fields related to health professions, biotechnology, and agriculture. This program will prepare you for a variety of careers in areas such as medicine, pharmacology, and genetic engineering. You can choose from concentrations in molecular biochemistry or structural biochemistry depending on your career goal.
Health information management (HIM) professionals manage the systems that collect, store, retrieve, disseminate health information to support organizational operations and clinical and business decision-making. ECU’s program in HIM will prepare you for a vast array of career opportunities, from analyst to project management to system management and governance roles.
Public health professionals are vital members of community and healthcare teams. They serve in hospitals, clinics, non-profit agencies, and health departments, as well as, industries, schools, local, and national government offices, and private businesses. In ECU’s public health program, you can specialize in community health, pre-health professions, or worksite health promotion.
